This is my new blog, “Mary Van Notes,” notes by me, Mary Van Note. Here I’ll be posting my comics, drawings, musings, rants and upcoming events.
Yesterday we wrapped shooting for The Mary Van Note Show: Gavin Really Wants Me. The 10 episode series will premiere on www.ifc.com on July 7. I’ve got a lot of work to do this week to get it all ready in time. The series is all about me trying to get a date with Gavin Newsom, the totally hot mayor of San Francisco.

Why is this place not stuffed full of comments? I think you’re fantastic and would let you use my apartment as war grounds for one of your excellent future episodes. Am I a pervert for thinking your pigtails are hot?

Thanks! Yeah, it’s a new blog, so I guess it hasn’t really gotten a following yet. My pigtails are hot! Gavin loves them, too.

i can write in english but i think is better if i write my note in spanish, because i’m from Peru, you know? And in Peru we talks and walks and have sex in spanish. do you know Peru? it’s a nice place, hot in summer, cold in winter, spring and autumn are the same (global warming is fuckin’ all the details and all “betweens”) so, i need to write to you in spanish because the words i know in english are so few and i have a lot of things to say to you because your performances and your voice and your face and your tenderness and your jokes and your hysteria ( a little, but exists) and your cuthair and your yours means so much for me, so i hope this blog was really yours coz i really really want to see you some day in a show. well i have to go know, but my last words have to be in spanish, so there are: eres la mejor…!!!
