One Year Bloggiversary and a Giveaway
It’s been a year today since I did my first Mary Van DAAAMN! post. To celebrate I want to say thanks to my readers with a special giveaway courtesy of Laurel’s Bench. I remember the first night I looked through Laurel’s Bench on etsy. I was with my friend Laura and we were oohing and aahing over the natural beauty of Laurel’s classic and yet utterly unique designs. Her individually hand-crafted pieces are made in her home studio and she even boasts a green and eco-friendly business which is no surprise when you see the way nature inspires her pieces. One of the pieces Laura and I loved so much was this pearl ring. We both said it would make the most romantic wedding ring. Please take a look at her shop and let me know what made you ooh and aah.

I just love the carving in this piece and the way it is curved a bit rather than simply one dimensional. Simply beautiful and unique… I love how every person has their own style, taste and gift to create and design whatever it is they create from within. This mother of pearl is truly wonderful…

BTW I also enjoy the names you gave many of your pieces. I love to hear why an artist names their pieces because their often times is a story or a meaning behind it all… So, Laura, why did you name the mother of pearl piece – ‘The Silence Between”? I’d love to know… Thank you.
