Mary Van Thanksgiving DAAAMN!
November 28th, 2010
I had a great Thanksgiving hanging out with my boyfriend, my boyfriend’s Mom and her friends, and my roommate Nick. The food was off the charts and my hat was a hit with the old ladies, of course. I forgot to take pictures of the Thanksgiving feast, but I did get some shots of what I wore.

Great choice of hat. Nice p… cat.
Is it just me or do black cats tend to have a more serious look in their eyes most of the time?

First off, Mary, that coat is ridiculously adorable. And that gold color looks great on you! The fall pallet treats you well. Your shoes are amazing too!
And the kitty looks like my grumpy black cat. Funny how they all look the same but all have insanely different personalities.

@Sacramento Aren’t they great!?!?! They were in new, unworn condition at the thrift store! I think they’ll look really cute with some socks too, so I’m looking forward to wearing them differently.
@Jan Thanks! The hat is perfect for Thanksgiving. And yes, I think so too about black cats. Ben’s cats jump up on me when I’m on the couch and I’m always surprised.
@Autumn Thank you! I went back to buy that coat at the antique mall. It was too good, too classic to pass up. Have I seen pics of your cat yet??
@Josie Thank you!!

wow, I love this outfit, that color is wonderful on you. Although the two piece is not the right time period, this outfit sorta reminds me of something Jordan Baker, the lady golfer from The Great Gatsby, would wear. (huge compliment in my book, vintage lady golfers rule). what do the small appliques above the bustline depict? (leaves?)

Thank you! They’re little anchors.
