whenever you’re ready
90s floral sweater: thrifted, SPCA thrift store in Sacramento, CA (Ben calls this my “Christmas sweater” which I don’t mind, because Christmas is awesome)
40s shorts (from a 2 pc swimsuit): ebay
mustard tights: Macy’s
white espadrilles: ebay
vintage purse: found
mustard knit hair bow: made by myself; the first knitting/practice square I ever did.
My roommate Nick wanted my boyfriend Ben to make his yummy blue cheese and pork candy burgers. When Nick offered to pay for the ingredients, we couldn’t say no. On the way to the grocery store I had a funny idea to present Nick with the receipt the way restaurants present you with a bill. With a bit of black construction paper and tape, it was ready. I even underlined the Total and added a line for “Tip.” All I had to do was sneak up before he finished his burger and drop the “bill” on the table and say, “Whenever you’re ready,” in the straightest face I could muster. I was able to get out, “Whenever,” in a serious voice, but then the complete excitement I had over this bubbled up and came out in a burst of laughter when I said, “you’re ready.” I laughed a lot last night.
And then I subjected Nick and Ben to a movie I watched as a kid, and still think is pretty awesome. They weren’t as impressed.

Such an amazing outfit, as always. I am head over heels with your consistent use of color!
Those burgers sound delicious. I am now tempted to pull the same trick whenever a similar occasion arises. I feel like I, too, would get all giggly. Also, you have the great fortune to know more than one curly haired man. I feel that we’d get along based on this fact. (I have a weakness for curls)

PS. I hope I don’t sound too creeper-ish in my last comment. Sometimes my humor doesn’t quite translate online…

I make Tom watch movies I loved as a child all the time. Sometimes he finds them kind of amusing (like The Princess Bride). However, I once made him watch Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure. I think he wanted to kill me afterwards. I laughed non-stop, and he thought it was terrible.

You always find the most unique vintage items and mix them together so wonderfully– love the two floral prints worn here. The mustard knit bow is so adorable and you’re also so crafty! The burgers sound delish too, I adore ground pork & blue cheese.
