Yesterday I went to my friend’s mother’s birthday BBQ party. Her name is Lou, and the theme was Hawaiian, so of course the name of the party was Lou Wow!
It was a fun day. Before the party, Ben and I went to the Sacramento Antique Fair (most favorite monthly outing EVER!). I found a 1950s bridesmaid tiara and an amazing pink and green velvet 1940s turban hat.
This would be a 100% vintage outfit, but the shoes are modern. It’s pretty crazy that you can still see the weird looking sunburn I got a month ago while on the beach in Los Angeles. You can still see exactly where my fingers with SPF stopped on my leg! After that burn, I’ve been a lot more careful when in the sun.
I’ll be in Los Angeles this week! I’m performing Wed, Aug 17 at Flapper’s Comedy Club in Burbank.

My fiance go to the Antique Fair in Sacramento every month too! I’m bummed that the summer is over since that means less vendors will be coming out until Spring show’s its sunny little head. Boo.
