The official trailer for a short film I’m in has just been released. It looks freakin’ awesome. Claude Cardenas is one inspired and talented individual. If you’re in the Bay Area, you should try to make it out to the official premiere party in Oakland on April 24.

I heart the vintage Michael Jackson Impersonator at my friend Nick’s fourth birthday party. The way Nick looks at the camera at 2:26 is pure gold.
Nick grew up to become the musical visionary that is DJ Real. I believe the above video is proof of the impact that occasion had on his life. See the below video as evidence.
This is currently the song stuck in my head thanks to Pandora:
Welcome home by Radical Face
And this Alice Donut trombone cover of the Pixies Where is My Mind gives me a yummy makeout session flashback.
I couldn’t help painting my nails red and glittery after seeing this post over on The Clothes Horse. The glitter polish is from when I was in high school! Yes, I have some very, very old nail polish. Speaking of The Clothes Horse, when I saw this jacket at H&M I thought of her. She always has such great complimentary outerwear for her lovely dresses. So to say I’m not inspired by other bloggers would be a complete and utter lie. In other news, I did some finger waves in my hair. I’m thinking this will be the typical Mary Van Note ‘do. And I just realized that this outfit is 100% not vintage. That’s a MVN rarity.
Jacket: H&M

Nail Polish: Jane “Voltage” glitter over Sally Hansen “Tenacious Ruby”
I’m wearing this to the Owen Pallett show tonight at The Independent. I’m in love with his new album Heartland, and I’ve been playing Final Fantasy albums over and over the past few years. This is my first time seeing him live and I’m stoked. If you don’t know Owen Pallett you can get acquainted with him through the magic of YouTube. I made a playlist.
The lovely lady over at Bows & Sparrows posted this today. And I just had to re-post it here. It really made me happy.
All the time I was making this I was thinking of you.
