Fun Pics Friday!

Friday, November 19th, 2010

I wanted to share some of the fun pictures we took at the cabin using a slow shutter speed and a flashlight.  There’s no photoshop editing on these ones!

And since we’re posting fun pics, I’ve been meaning to share the pikapika photobooth pics Ben and I took in Japantown.  It was the first time we ever did it and it was a BLAST.  I can’t wait to go back and do more.  I think I got the hang of decorating them towards the end.

And since we’re doing photobooth pics, I might as well share the photobooth pic Ben and I did on our first date. We’ll be together 10 months next week!

one year later

Friday, January 28th, 2011

Ben and I celebrated our one year anniversary by reliving what we did on our first date together.  This includes him giving me a box of candy-cane joe-joe’s, eating amazing sushi at Kabuto, and going to my favorite place in SF; the Musee Mecanique and taking photobooth pictures.

fall in love friday

Freestyle skateboarding is becoming a lost art.  And yes, art is what it is.   By the looks of the following photo, you’d think professional skateboarder Kilian Martin was a professional dancer.

Of course I was as impressed with the 50s style as I was with the skating itself.  I found both the photo and video via hepkitty.  Makes me happy to have a skater boyfriend.  Now, if only I can get him to skate in cute colored socks and a tucked in sweater.

date night

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

Last night was date night with Ben.  The warmer, spring-like weather got me excited to wear something light and flow-y. It seemed the perfect time to wear vintage nightwear as something to wear out at night!

It was stupid how happy I was to wear my vintage bed jacket out on the town, as opposed to just wearing it in my room when I’m on the computer in my nightie.  (Sorry for the poor quality of some of these photos, when it gets dark out it’s hard to get good shots and getting a nice new camera is on my to-do list this year, for sure.)

Blinking shot!  But as you can see I’m experimenting with the ol’ side-swept bang.  I’m considering growing out my bangs.  What do y’all think?  I like my bangs, but they can be annoying to deal with since my hair isn’t naturally straight.  It bothers me when my bangs aren’t straight!  ARGHHH!  But at the same time it’s weird to think of me not having bangs since I’ve had them for SO long.

We went to Toy Boat on Clement after getting some dinner at B Star.  Toy Boat is so cute and nostalgic.  They have some great Pee Wee memorabilia that kills me.
