We had a Halloween party!  I had a fun time decorating.  And luckily we had some good friends help with the food and even some friends that came over and performed comedy and music.  I was a pumpkin.   You’ll see that I went from cute pumpkin to creepy pumpkin.  Nicole and her husband came and we took some creepy pictures, so you’ll probably see more photos in another post.  I hope you guys had a good Halloween!  I’ve really enjoyed seeing everyone’s creative costumes on the blogosphere.  What did you dress up as?

In other news, DAMN!!! I had no idea my comments weren’t working for you guys.  And here I was all bummed that no one was commenting.  I think I fixed it, so please say hi!

I shelled out $210 for an optometry visit (ouch… I wish I had insurance).  My optometrist basically told me I had to stop wearing contacts, and if I do wear them, I have to wear the super-duper expensive ones.  I was a bit sad about it, but I think I’m getting used to wearing glasses.  I was afraid I’d look frumpy with my glasses on, but after a gander at these pics, I don’t think that’s possible. ; )  I took Ben out to a nice romantic dinner before heading over to a holiday party put on by Ashley of Fancy Fine.

I was a bit bummed that I didn’t get a good shot of the entire look, but hopefully you can get an idea of how awesome this dress is. It’s Christmas-y in the sense that it’s almost a big bow in the front.

Yes, I am that person.   I totally made WTF cookies for Marc Maron.  I handed them to him after his show at the Sacramento Punch Line.

I’m wearing one of my new pairs of glasses I got for freebies from coastalcontacts.com during their 10,000 free pairs of glasses giveaway promotion.  Getting the free glasses made the $210 optometry visit (to get the glasses prescription) less painful.

I’m wearing a 1940s dress I got from Etsy.   Originally it had buttons that I didn’t like on it.   So I picked up these amazing 1940s glass doggie buttons from General Bead in San Francisco.  Now, the dress is perfect. : )

I performed at Red Hots Burlesque last night.  Burlesque audiences are ALWAYS the best.  I swear to god, if ever I film a comedy special, I want it filmed at a burlesque show.  They totally get me!  Plus performing at them also gives me a good excuse to dress in head-to-toe vintage and look glam (not like I needed an excuse).
